Wissa Vidow

The black widow is a characteristic element of the social landscape of a Greek village. Wissa Vidow is the widow of Vissa, a village in Evros, North East Greece. She is wondering around the village and trying to forget about her lost love but the effect is the opposite. Circle. The circle of memory, of remembering and forgeting, remembering in order to forget and trying to forget via the memories. Her walk is a rehearsal of forgeting by remembering. Homage to the nostalgic mood of young women, widows enclosed in small communities who are trying to make place in their memories and dreams for someone living.
