Saduj: His confession is a brief satirical tale which aims to examine the legacy that our ecclesiastical institutions have left us to cope with as individuals – namely, a sense of guilt; our need to feel forgiven for our sins, the fear of God or of damnation. At the same time, it criticises those who consider themselves fit to judge and pass sentence on what is morally acceptable, despite knowing that they themselves are not capable of meeting the standards they presume to impose..
