Passages

Collaboration between a sculptor, a dancer and a musician filmed at the historic Lafayette cemetery in New Orleans ensued “Passages”. Through dance movements filmed at the unusual setting o ft the New Orleans cemetery, with its obove ground vaults and tombs — — a site that evokes both shared and private recollections the video investigates the psychology of memory, the personal autobiographical versus public remembrance. As the dancer moves among the ancient tombs, Laura Andel’s hauntingly beautiful music heightens the sense of mystery.
