Kunsic Gasper

Gašper Kunšič (1992, Slovenia) is a visual artist, working in the fields of painting, installation, video and print media. He graduated with a BFA degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and currently studies in the class for Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He was nominated for the ESSL ART AWARD CEE 2015 and has exhibited in the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova in Ljubljana, as well as participated in the 3rd Triennial of Young Artists – PREMIERE 2015 in the Gallery of Contemporary Arts, Celje. His other exhibitions include Umetnina v nastajanju in Gallery Media Nox, Maribor and Hipster Happiness in Gallery DoubleRoom in Trieste. He presented his performances in Künstlerhaus Vienna. His upcoming exhibitions include a group show in Jakopič Gallery in Ljubljana, and a solo show with Živa Drvarič in UGM Studio in Maribor in summer 2016. He was a recipient of the Zois scholarship for talented students from 2007- 2015 and won the recognition award of Academy of Fine Arts and Design Ljubljana in 2014 as well as First prize for poetry, from Magazine Mladika in Trieste in 2013. He lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
