Rives Granade is a California based artist who has exhibited his work internationally. His practice is interdisciplinary and takes the form of performances, video, sculpture, photography, film, and painting. Granade’s art is concerned with finding spaces in between dichotomies that resist concrete translation, forcing the viewer to reassess his own engrained assumptions and categorizations. The artist’s work is in the collection of the Mobile Museum of Art (Alabama, USA) and numerous private collections. Granade will receive his MFA degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in the spring of 2008.
