Somewhere To Jump From

The memories of past relationships gone bad haunt our protagonist as he keeps them locked in the cage of his mind. He trudges through a bleak world, despairing amid swells of pity, happy couples and nightmarish cityscapes, desperate for a way to escape. Just as all hope is lost and he appears to have jumped to his end, a passing bird caches him. The bird represents new love and hope and goes about freeing his mind of bad memories, replacing them with new, positive thoughts that enable him to feel love and happiness again. All appears well until the bird flies away, dropping our protagonist back into the depths of despair, trapped in a seemingly endless cycle where good love turns bad.
