The path to Madness

Height 100cm. Width:varies (long side as a reference 100cm). The path to madness is a self-portrait work, in which the artist puts herself in the place of a person that goes crazy. It is divided in phases: Fall, Prison, Pain, Madness and Suicide. The artist intends to construct a “terrible beauty”, revealing madness in a shocking, defying and dramatic way. This work seeks comprehension and materialization of a series of experiences that surrounds us, unveiling a dark side that we normally do not have the guts to see or show. The result is a shocking aesthetic that wants to tease the beholders to stand face to face with their fears.
