The Dialogue Of the Dogs

This video performance was created in the context of the interdisciplinary platform and joint exhibition blindgate12.blogspot.com. It is an allegory inspired by Cervantes’ story The Dialogue of the Dogs, a multi-layered literary text laden with hilosphcal questions: can we rely on how things appear to be? Can we, in turn, rely on reason and rational discourse? What is the foundation of our moral distinction between good and evil, “predator” and “prey”? Relying on the topology of animal masks the wor raises issues of personal, social and political identity, but also calls on us to rethink the human/animal boundary and the limits of ur presumed humanism.
