Scape

‘Scape’ focuses on the mechanical or electronic rhythm or motion that takes on an idiosyncratic, human subjectivity, heightened through the use of repetition. The work looks at hypnologic states, which is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep brought on due to lack of sleep. The footage is based on still camera images of the London Underground and Berlin U-Bahn and the sound is developed from field recordings of Berlin Hauptbanhof.
