Pendulous Set

This animation is based on an actual painting. It’s an imaginary narration on how it was done. It explores a process that is not often seen by the spectator, where we can imagine the dialogue between the painter and the piece. Each element taken from the finished painting comes alive as a character interacting with the other elements. The painting gets in motion so a static medium is given rhythm and the dimension of time. Pendulous Set is like the staging of a comedy of situation where each element is looking for its place in the scene. Each shape and texture come together in the whole like in a collage.
