Memories of a soviet soldier

Memories of a soviet soldier is an experimental film/video art that combines manipulated archive film footage, original shootings and special effects. This work talks about reactivation of memories of a person( in this case a soviet soldier ), and starts from the premise that every time we remember something is a little bit like we learned it once again. I’m very interested in mental process concerning memory flow and, above all, the way we associated particular images to specific sounds or music. With this work I try to let the viewer go into this mysterious world . All non original videos and music are taken from www.archive.org under creative commons license( public domain ). Other sounds are recorded by myself with a H2 zoom recorder.
