Lumina Fiction

Lumina Fiction is an immersive and interactive multimedia work that takes viewers on a journey into an imaginary world that could be described as a biological fiction. In a spacious and obscure space, a spatial structure composed of layers of a translucent veil occupies the space like a floating organic architecture. Tiny luminous, chimerical, and imaginary creatures come to life on the veils of this giant body. They evolve and move, displaying and giving life to a biological fiction in perpetual change. Atmospheric sounds emerge discreetly and evolve according to the states of this universe. Being both autonomous and sensitive to external presence, this fictitious ecosystem triggers visual and sound reactions and evolves with the behavior of the visitors. Lumina Fiction proposes a creation, a system, inspired by life principles and a real ecosystem, and uses new technologies to incarnate those behaviors inspired by biological reality. The first version created in April 2015 with the support of DICRÉAM, produced by Les Mille Tiroirs in Pamiers, and programmed in the 11th edition of the event ‘Croisements Numériques’ in Saint-Nazaire, as well as the exhibition ‘Hémisphères’ at the Cda d’Enghien and the Biennale des Bains Numériques 2016.Lumina Fic.on has offered the public an outstanding artistic experience. ‘Lumina Fiction #2’ represents an important evolutionary step for this project. This second version will be a biological fiction with Memory. A capacity to memorize one’s experience with one’s environment. A work that is not quite the same between the beginning and the end of its presence in a place, its behavior will be thus linked to its memory perception. “Lumina Fiction #2” will be produced as part of a residency project and exhibited at the 2017 Vidéoformes fes.val, with a grant from Clermont Communauté. Lumina fiction #2 will then be hosted in residence at Espace Croix Baragnon in Toulouse, during the months of April and May for a finaliza.on and a continuation of its development and end up with a exhibition at « Quai des Savoirs » linked to the museum of Toulouse in 2017 October .
