HEY HI is a small machine that uses a smartphone exactly as we do. Hey Hi physically accesses the vast landscape of human connections we have invested in modern phones. But in its inherently robotic movements, we question our reliance on current technology and our acceptance of its apparent trajectory.
Who chooses the next song? Why are some posts promoted over others? Who gives us cultural, professional, romantic recommendations? Who else reads the messages we send to our friends?
All of these happen within the black box of Artificial Intelligence. Hey Hi is a look inside that box.
