Golda

In the average Israeli suburb city of Holon, there is an “island” that is on the verge of disappearing: What once were beautiful vast areas of sand dunes are slowly transforming into urban, middle class building sites. One last squared kilometer of sand was marked as a track, and is referred to as “Golda” by the locals. It is a border between the natural and the artificial, a path that is an infinite loop leading nowhere. Little bits of reality unraveled to me as I explored this place night and day during the past year.
