Duration 2 (empire)

Duration 2 shows an image of the Empire State Building for a couple of seconds. At first sight, the piece is an ironic comment on Warhol’s 8-hour film Empire. But beyond this first impression lies a more important subject: the radical reduction of temporal duration in today’s digital visual formats.
