Suertas Rocio

She studied Art Direction and Animation Film in several of the best Art schools of the western world: FAMU in Prague, The New York University and Master of arts at the Central Saint Martins College of Arts in London. Also passed through the Utrecht School of Arts and The Film school of San Antonio de los Banos in Cuba and Universitat der Kunster in Berlin. She has carried out scenic works and several pieces of animation for dance performances. In 35mm carried out Death and Resurrection 2001 short animation film that won numerous prizes, among them the prize RTVA in ALCANCES 2002 and exhibited in prestigious European Festivals (Stutgart animated film Festivals, Fantasoporto (Portugal) Rome Film Festival (Italy), and The Uprooted 2004, Prize the best work of Animation in Festival of the Delegation of Malaga and exhibited in the Circle of Fine Arts, (short films Festival of the Community of Madrid), Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art of Seville, Space Meteora (Sevilla),Cines Avenue(Seville), Yuzine 2004 (Andalusian Sample of movies of animation of Seville) Seville. ALCANCES 2004 ( Atlantic Film Festival, Cadiz), Obuxo 2004 (Huesca), Baumann 2004 and L’ Alternative 2004 (Barcelona), Alcine 2004 (Alcala of Henares, Madrid)), Animadrid (Pozuelo of Alarcon) and VAD International Festival of Video and digital Arts (Gerona) …Canal + Spain has bougητ the right to show it on TV. Currently, she lives in Berlin where she is finishing “Simbad no longer lives here” codirected with Alberto Rodriguez, and prepares her new work “Tell of important things”.
