Riga Eleni

Eleni Riga was born in Thessaloniki in 1980. She studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki (1999-2004) and at the School of Fine Arts in Granada (2002-3), finally undertaking her post-graduate course in Museology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has presented her work in solo and group shows in Athens and Thessaloniki. The object of exploration in the work of Eleni Riga is the co-existence of iconic and actual space. Using video, photography and painting as media, she mounts environments, an experience of which the beholder is invited to acquire.
