Katerina Psimmenou is an architect and visual artist. She obtained her architecture diploma from the National Technical University of Athens and is currently pursuing her masters in Digital Arts from the University of the Arts London. Through architecture, she got involved with conceptual art and design, new technologies, film theory and philosophy. In her art practice, which to a great extent is based on existential theories, she refers to questions concerning perception as a process, identity and existence in relation to the body and in a broader sense the relation between the person and the world. She experiments with digital imagery and video, produced by a combination of 2D and 3D techniques. She has also been involved with visual arts teaching, photography, graphic design and illustration. She lives and works in Athens.
