Ohman McCardle Helena

Born in Umea, Sweden in 1970, Helena Ohman McCardle graduated as Master of Fine Arts from the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm in 2004. She is currently based in Glasgow, UK. Ohman McCardle’s work deals with questions about our perception and experience of reality, the opposition between reality and fiction, and the power of memory. Through her videos and installations she re-stages and invents situations – personal narratives and acts that represent a recognisable reality – infused with a certain surreal quality to emphasise an absurdity of everyday life.
