Lachman David

David Lachman earned his MFA in painting from Northwestern University an undergraduate degree in Art and Art History from Oberlin College. He is an interdisciplinary artist who currently works primarily in Video and Installation Art, but also in drawing, painting, and conceptual projects. His work explores the terrain of consciousness where familiar and unfamiliar coexist. He is concerned with creating experiences that encourage viewers, visitors, and participants to become aware of their own views, ideas, and attention. Common objects and experiences are used to ground the work in everyday life and to emphasize the things we may take for granted. Sometimes humor is used to explore these questions. Often work reminds us that there is more to see and do when we approach life naively.]
