Ieva Balode

I am young Latvian artist, working in different art mediums. Most of all, I am working in the video, photography and graphic design fields. I am currently studying in the Latvian Academy of Art,Visual Communication department on the 3d year.During 2009 I have studied in Finland, Novia art school, in Film and TV department. Before that, I had graduated from J.Rozentala Riga Art School as a photographer. Both in this and my current academy, I have studied all fine arts and communication arts subjects. I am working as a freelancer,having experience in advertisement, graphic design,photography. My explorations in art are mostly connected with subjects like human identity, human and nature and sociology. As an artist, I have had few exhibitions (including two photography solo exhibitions in Riga), publications in Latvia.Taking part in festivals and awards such as 2ANNAS,Ahuns, got 3d prize in WHO (World Health Organization) Photo & Video contest.
