Alex Fragkiadakis is an architect (Greece, UK) who has received his Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and his Master of Architecture from the University of California Los Angeles, USA. He has worked as a freelance architect at his practice, that emphasizes on projects that explore the environmental, structural and atmospheric potential of emerging design and digital manufacturing techniques. He has been working as a project manager in various projects in Africa and firmly believes that architecture can make a difference in the world. Katerina Zisimopoulou is a practicing architect and researcher in Greece. She has received her Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, her Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA; she is currently a doctorate candidate at the National Technical University of Athens, where she has also lectured. She has participated in groups that distinguished in architectural competitions and enjoys presenting her research at conferences, organizing architectural workshops and events that bring architects and theorists together. She currently writes about architecture in film and believes that participatory design can heal societies in crisis.
