Duncan Poulton

Duncan Poulton is a British artist working with video appropriation, collage and digital media. His recent works investigate 3D modelling and computer-generated imagery, examining and appropriating specific sub-genres of online content in order to deconstruct and re- present their images within a new framework. His work is preoccupied with simulation, copying and the digital body, and is an ongoing re-mediation of an increasingly virtual world. His work has recently been shown at Transmediale, Berlin; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Tate Modern, London; Eastside Projects, Birmingham; Czong Institute of Contemporary Art, South Korea; Sluice_Art Fair, London; Phoenix Gallery, Brighton and Plymouth Arts Centre. He lives and works in Birmingham, UK.
