Stavros Alifragkis graduated from the Department of Architecture, AUTh in 2002. He attended an MPhil in ‘Architecture and the Moving Image’ at the University of Cambridge in 2002, and a post-graduate degree at the School of Architecture, NTUA in 2003. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge under the supervision of Dr. Francois Penz. His research focuses on filmic representations of urban landscapes in Soviet cinema from the 1920s and 1930s. His documentary ‘Aesthetics of Architecture: Exploring Means of Expression’ (Greece, 2004, 57′) was screened at the 9th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival/Open Screen (2007).
