Skoufos Giorgos

My name is Giorgos Skoufos, I am a PhD candidate at University of Thessaly, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the fields of Metagenomics, Metatranscriptomics and Clinical-Microbiomics. I have earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, Department of Informatics and my Master of Science degree in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Informatics and Telecommunications. Besides my PhD, I’m a student of a Japanese Martial Art called Aikido, I do rock climbing and finally, I create digital art projects using algorithms and computer programming techniques as my main tools. I am 27 years old and I live in Athens, Greece.
